summer

For a few more days, there is no school. August 7th is just around the corner, though. And, I'm hustling to get my household chores completed before the 2017-2018 year starts.

Because the work emails and texts have already started becoming more frequent, it seems as if I've already returned to work. But, I'm still holding onto to summer days.

OAK ➙ LIH

June 28th-July 6th

There was a lot of learning on this trip. Learned that the 88 Buddhist shrines at the Lawai Center in Kalaheo date back to 1904. To finally see the resting place of my Aunt's ashes was powerful. I learned why she wanted to be there, on that hillside.

Aloha, Aunty Diane

I learned about the Barking Sands Naval Center, and Captain Cook's first landing. There was some book learning on this trip, too! Read some chapter of Angela Watson's book Unshakeable

Mostly, I learned that I want to retire to Kaua'i...and that I still have much to learn.

Learned quite a bit this past week. I even documented my learning with Sites, as clunky as it is.

Still waiting for the new and improved Sites to be released!
